Python Framework Developer

- Salary: $150k – $200k
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Python Framework Developer to join our team. As a Python Framework Developer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining the AI developer platform Python SDK, First-party Packages and Plugins, as well as building bridges to third-party tools. We are looking for candidates who have excellent open-source contributions to projects like langchain, FastAPI, Pydantic, Keras, Flask, and other related frameworks.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the AI developer platform Python SDK, ensuring its functionality, efficiency, and reliability.
- Create and maintain first-party Steamship Packages and Plugins to enhance the platform's capabilities.
- Build bridges and integrations to third-party tools and frameworks, enabling seamless interoperability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AI researchers, software engineers, and product managers, to understand requirements and deliver effective solutions.
- Contribute to open-source projects like langchain, FastAPI, Pydantic, Keras, Flask, and others, showcasing your expertise and advancing the Python development community.
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, following best practices and coding standards.
- Perform code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and mentor junior developers to ensure high-quality code and continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- 5 to 15 years of relevant professional experience
- Expert at SDK / Framework design in Python
- Experience with writing high quality technical documentation
- Comfortable in building in public
- Proficiency in Python programming language, with a strong understanding of its ecosystem and frameworks.
- Solid experience in developing Python SDKs and working with first-party packages and plugins.
- Familiarity with building bridges and integrations to third-party tools, APIs, and frameworks.
- Strong knowledge of open-source contributions, particularly in projects like langchain, FastAPI, Pydantic, Keras, Flask, etc.
- Experience working with AI and machine learning technologies is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Self-motivated and proactive, with a passion for learning and staying updated with the latest trends and advancements in Python development.
